The Washington Capitals finally got back in the win column on Wednesday night after losing four straight, and it was a typical heart-stopping D.C. victory: trailing 2-1 with two minutes left in the third period, Sonny Milano sent the game to OT vs. the Philadelphia Flyers. Two minutes into extra hockey, who else but Alex Ovechkin scored the game-winning tally and his 790th career goal.

Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames are coming off a shootout loss to Washington’s Metropolitan division rival, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Prior to the loss, Calgary had won two straight games in which they put up five goals. Can they get back to their scoring ways on Black Friday in D.C.?

Capitals: Alex Ovechkin, LW (21 games, 10 goals, 8 points): After scoring just one goal in his previous five games, The Great 8 got back in scoring form with the OTGWG vs. Philadelphia, adding to his team-leading 10 goals and 18 points on the season.

Flames: Nazem Kadri, C (18 games, 8 goals, 7 points): Kadri went up north after winning a Stanley Cup with Colorado last season, and picked up right where he left off. He’s currently second on the squad with 15 points on the campaign.
