The Islanders were busy on Monday afternoon, signing winger Anthony Duclair to a four-year deal and re-signing defenseman Mike Reilly to a one-year pact.
Duclair has played 10 seasons as a pro (for eight different clubs), totaling 146 goals and 157 assists. The 28-year-old played in 73 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning and San Jose Sharks last season, scoring 24 goals and adding 18 assists.
He originally entered the league as a third-round pick of the Rangers in the 2013 NHL Draft, and was later traded in a deal that brought Keith Yandle to New York.
Reilly, who turns 31 this month, has also been well-traveled during his nine-year career, but he’s now back on Long Island for his second straight season with Lou Lamoriello’s club.
Last season, Reilly played in 59 games, scoring six goals with 18 assists. He also racked up 28 penalty minutes and was a +1 on the season.
