(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that Slovakian defenceman Jakub Chromiak has committed to the hockey club.

“We are really happy to have Jakub commit to our team,” said Sudbury Wolves VP & General Manager Rob Papineau. “He is a great young defenceman who has already played important roles for his country. He is a strong two-way defender who has excellent vision and puck moving skills to go along with his great hockey sense.”

“I’m really excited for this new chapter in my life,” said Chromiak. “Can’t wait to meet my new teammates and get started. I heard Sudbury has great fan so I’m looking forward to playing in front of them.”

The Wolves selected Chromiak 7th overall in the 2022 CHL Import Draft this past summer. During the 2021-22 season, Chromiak played for the Slovakia U18 national team as well as for HK Dukla Trencin U20.
