Jay Rosehill thinks the Leafs were pushed around way too often by both Tampa & Florida: Leafs Morning Take

I don’t know about any of you, but there seems to be a calm before the storm type feel in Toronto right now.

Are we all just waiting for the hammer to drop?

That was pretty much the thesis question on the Wednesday edition of Leafs Morning Take. That said, we started by addressing the whole Arizona Coyotes situation. Personally, I want to see them go just so we can stop with the bogus Auston Matthews rumours. Additionally, weirdly, the Coyotes have played the Leafs very tough over the years. We’ll see what happens.

Firstly, enjoy yet another incredible rant from Jay Rosehill.

Our opening segment was dedicated to figuring out when we’re going to hear from Brendan Shanahan. The team President, who’s been there in recent years alongside Kyle Dubas on locker cleanout day, was nowhere to be found on Monday. Am I reading too much into that? Rosey thinks so.

Meantime, the blame game continues as the Eastern Conference final – without Toronto – gets set for puck drop on Thursday night. There’s a lot to unpack, but there’s no question the players deserve a lot of the heat. Who else?

With no puck tonight, for the Betano Wrap Up, we focused on the Blue Jays/Yankees matchup.

Join me on Thursday at 11 AM ET as David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period will join me to look at what could be next for the Leafs. Also, Jay Rosehill will pop by for another 3 Hits segment.
