Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this afternoon that the Hockey Club has signed 6’2” left-catching goaltender Karsen Chartier to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Standard Player Agreement.

The Sudbury, Ontario native spent the 2021-22 season with the North York Rangers U16 AAA team and is currently playing on a strong Burlington Eagles U18 AAA club in the South Central Triple-A Hockey League (SCTA) where he will continue to play.

On the addition of Chartier, Seca comments:

“Karsen had a great training camp and looks to us like a goalie who will play an important role with the Hockey Club at some point in the future. He as the size and athletic ability that we covet in our goaltenders. Karsen is a deeply committed player and one we’re excited to start working with more”.

The Sarnia Sting are set to play the Sudbury Wolves for the first time since February of 2020 on Friday night at 7:05pm before heading to Hamilton on Saturday to take on the Bulldogs at 4:00pm.
