Barrie, ON – The Barrie Colts are proud to announce the signing of the 2022 third round selection Kashawn Aitcheson.
The defenceman played for the North York Rangers U16 program last season where he registered 31 points (9 Goals, 22 Points) across 47 games. Kashawn participated in the 2022 GTHL All-Star game where he recorded one goal. He was drafted 50 overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
“Kashawn is a player that just loves to play the game, all of our interactions with him since we drafted him he just doesn’t seem to stop smiling. We’re really happy to add him to the team and believe he will be a great fit within our organization. Kashawn brings a great mix of offensive and defensive awareness already and our coaching staff is looking forward in helping continue his development,” added Head Coach & GM Marty Williamson.
