In a recent ranking by ESPN, the top 25 NHL players of the 21st century were unveiled, and as expected, Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby claimed the top spot.
The list also featured two players from the Los Angeles Kings, including their captain Anze Kopitar and goaltender Jonathan Quick.
Both played crucial roles in the Kings’ victories in the Stanley Cups in 2012 and 2014.
Kopitar was ranked at number 21, with ESPN highlighting his significant achievements, including two-time Selke Award winner, two-time Stanley Cup Champion, Kings’ record-holder in goals, assists, and points, and among the top five in assists and points for active players.

They also mentioned that he is the only player besides Gordie Howe to lead his team in scoring for at least 15 seasons.
Jonathan Quick, the goaltender at number 25, might be the last on the list, but considering the broader context, Quick is recognized as the 25th-best player of the 21st century.

ESPN mentioned his key achievements, such as leading in wins (393) and shutouts among U.S.-born goaltenders, and being a two-time Stanley Cup Champion.
The Kings were a dominant force in the 2010s, especially during their rebuilding phase, which explains why the team has two players in the top 25.
