Kraken Look To Extend Win Streak To Five Games Against Rangers

by admin

The Seattle Kraken have won four consecutive games and are looking to extend their win streak as they host the New York Rangers.

With wins against the Vegas Golden Knights, Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks and most recently, the New York Islanders, their newest test is against Artemi Panarin and the Rangers.

It’s a back-to-back for the Kraken with the franchise coming off of an emotional, tightly contested win yesterday against the Islanders. The Kraken jumped out to a 1-0 lead courtesy of Yanni Gourde before the Islanders scored two unanswered goals. The Kraken did a great job of answering back, with Jared McCann equalizing almost immediately. Jamie Oleksiak gave the Kraken the lead and two points with less than five minutes remaining in the third period.

The Rangers enter tonight’s game sitting fourth in the Metropolitan with a 10-4-1 record. The Rangers possess one of the best rosters in the NHL, headlined by Panarin, Adam Fox, Alexis Lafreniere and Igor Shesterkin, who thankfully for the Kraken, won’t be in goal as they’ll look to the three-time cup winner and veteran, Jonathan Quick.

Across from Quick will be Philipp Grubauer who will be making his first start since Nov. 5.
