Future Hall of Fame goalie Marc-Andre Fleury will start for the Minnesota Wild as they visit the San Jose Sharks in what could be his last appearance in San Jose.
The three-time Stanley Cup Champion plans to retire following his 21st season in the NHL. In his career, he has played 27 games against the Sharks. Fleury has had incredible success against San Jose, with a record of 18-5-4, a .939 save percentage, and a 1.88 GAA.
Fleury was drafted first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003, and his personality quickly made him a fan favorite. His legendary pranks and off-ice tricks made him a loveable character no matter what team a fan cheered for.

He would eventually join the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017 and became the face of the franchise. Fleury’s regular season success against the Sharks will always be outshined from the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoff series. Fleury was the goalie in the crease for the Golden Knights as the Sharks came back from 3-1 down in the series and 3-0 in game seven.
The Sharks are set to host the Wild on Jan. 11, which could be the last time Fleury could play in SAP Center. He gets at least one more tonight with the Wild.
