Alexis Lafrenière is picking up right where he left off for the New York Rangers.
In the first period of the Rangers’ opening night game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Lafrenière used his signature toe drag move to score a beautiful goal, giving New York an early 2-0 lead.
Lafrenière is coming off of his best statistical season where he recorded 28 goals 29 assists and 57 points in 82 games.
The 22-year-old really emerged in the playoffs as arguably the Rangers’ best forward as he had eight goals, six assists and 14 points in 16 playoff games.
This is just the start for Lafrenière.
