Here’s a look at a few more special moments with Dad as shared by PHF players in honor of Father’s Day.
“For Father’s Day, I wanted to give a special shout out to my Dad. I wouldn’t have made it this far in my hockey career without all of his support. He was my coach growing up and still gives me tips after games. It’s the best feeling being able to look in the stands and see him cheering me on and giving me high fives in between periods. Thank you so much, Dad. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. Love you!” – Allison Attea, Buffalo Beauts
“My Dad has been right by my side throughout my entire hockey career. He has been my biggest supporter and my biggest critic and I would not be here without him. He would drive anywhere to watch me play, as he even surprised me coming out to St.FX during playoffs which is a 19-hour drive from my hometown. I can’t put into words how much he has helped me. Whether that was being in the backyard helping me shoot pucks or driving me to outdoor rinks in -25 C degree weather to pass me pucks and give me drills. I wouldn’t be here without him and to that I say thank you Dad, I love you more than you’ll ever know and am so grateful you’re my father.” – Lauren Dabrowski, Metropolitan Riveters
“My Dad has been my biggest supporter since I first wanted to get on the ice. From supporting my ~crazy~ idea of wanting to start as a goalie to traveling around to each of my games now. Thank you for all of the sacrifices you have made for me to pursue my dream. I can’t thank you enough. I love you Dad!” – Taylor Girard, Connecticut Whale
