CLARKE LEADING ALL AHL BLUELINERS IN ROOKIE SEASON
Ontario Reign blueliner Brandt Clarke continues to have a stellar rookie season in the American Hockey League, recording 18 points in 18 games played, including four multi-point showings. Recording at least a point per game in 13 games this year, the Barrie Colts alumnus now leads all AHL defenceman in points this season. Selected eighth overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2021 NHL Draft, the 20-year-old Ottawa, Ont. native continues to develop after recorded 61 points (23-38-61) in 31 appearances with the Colts last season. Originally selected fourth overall in the the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, Brandt spent three seasons in Barrie, tallying 158 points over 143 regular season games.

SILOVS NAMED AHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Barrie Colts graduate Arturs Silovs is the AHL Goaltender of the Month for November, going 4-1-0 with a 1.01 goals-against average, .958 save percentage and two shutouts for the Abbotsford Canucks. The 22-year-old Vancouver prospect is 7-2-1 on the season with a 2.53 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in 11 games. Silovs backstopped Latvia to a bronze medal at the 2023 IIHF World Championship, earning tournament MVP honours in the process. The Riga native played one season in Barrie, going 16-13-2-2 with a 3.87 goals-against average and. 891 save percentage in 2019-20. He was Vancouver’s sixth round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.

KANE AND DEBRINCAT REUNITE IN DETROIT
Former Chicago Blackhawks linemates Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane have reunited once again, as Kane agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday. Kane, who turned 35 this month, had been recovering from hip surgery and evaluating his suitors over the first two months of the season after becoming a free agent in the summer. The 2016 Hart Trophy Winner enters his 18th season in the NHL, spending 17 in Chicago before being traded to the New York Rangers at the end of last season. The former first overall pick of the 2007 NHL Draft has registered 1237 points (451-786-1237) over 1180 regular season NHL games. Selected in the fifth round (88th overall) by the London Knights in the 2004 OHL Priority Selection, the former OHL Rookie of the Year made his mark in the OHL during the 2006-07 season, tallying 145 points (62-83-145) in only 58 games played.
Playing five seasons along Kane in Chicago, DeBrincat was selected by the Blackhawks in the ninth round of the 2016 NHL Draft. Over 471 games played, the Farmington Hills, MI. native has registered 199 goals, 194 assists, and 393 points between the Blackhawks, Ottawa Senators, and Red Wings. Signed as a free agent with the Erie Otters, DeBrincat recorded over 100 points per season with the Otters from 2014-17, tallying 332 (167-165-332) points in 191 games played.
FOLIGNO SUITS UP FOR 1,100TH NHL GAME
Chicago Blackhawks forward Nick Foligno skated in his 1,100th NHL game on Sunday in a 4-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues. Selected 28th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2006 NHL Draft, the 6-foot, 210lb. left-winger has spent 17 seasons in the NHL between the Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, and the Blackhawks. The 36-year-old from Sudbury, Ont. has registered 217 goals, 317 assists, and 534 points over his 1,101 games played. Selected in the fifth round (84th overall) by the Sudbury Wolves in the 2003 OHL Priority Selection, Foligno recorded 196 points (65-131-196) in 196 games over three seasons with his hometown team.

KUBALIK PLAYS 300TH NHL GAME
Ottawa Senators forward Dominik Kubalik skated in his 300th NHL career game on Sunday as the Senators fell to the Florida Panthers 5-0 at home. Originally selected in the seventh round, 191st overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2013 NHL Draft, the Plzen, CZE. native has registered 86 goals, 80 assists, and 166 points between the Senators, Chicago Blackhawks, and Detroit Red Wings. Kubalik spent two seasons in the OHL after being selected by the Sudbury Wolves in the first round of the 2012 CHL Import Draft, tallying 63 points (35-28-63) over 126 games played between the Wolves and the Kitchener Rangers.
