Gatineau Olympiques Coach-GM Louis Robitaille joined The Hockey News On The ‘Q’ Podcast to talk about his team’s promising start to the season.
The Olympiques are currently third in the QMJHL standings, with six wins, two losses and two overtimes losses. They only trail the first-place Sherbrooke Phoenix and the second-place Quebec Remparts.
Robitaille spoke about some absences on the team to start the year due to injuries and NHL camp invitations. He also described Olympiques center Zach Dean’s skill as he begins his fourth QMJHL season with nine points in seven games. The Vegas Golden Knights drafted Dean 30th overall in the 2021 NHL draft.
Robitaille also discussed the meaning of the Olympiques’ 50th anniversary season and other teams to watch across the QMJHL.
Hosts Will MacLaren and Jamie Tozer broke down the latest news and standout players in the QMJHL in the full episode of The Hockey News On the ‘Q’ Podcast.
