Defensemen Jeremy Davies, Maxence Guenette, Nikolas Mantipalo, and forwards Jamieson Rees, Garrett Pilon, Cole Reinhardt and Hayden Hodgson have been placed on waivers, they will be assigned to Belleville if they clear. Forward Keean Washkaruk was released from his PTO and assigned to Belleville.

This move drastically trims the Senators training camp roster and puts young players like Bourgault, Crookshank, and Halliday in position to play big minutes in the AHL.

Pilon lead the AHL Senators in scoring last season with 47 points in 62 games, while Crookshank finished second with 46 in 50. Guenette led all Belleville Senator defensemen in scoring. Halliday had a big playoff showing, recording nine points in seven Calder Cup playoff games.

Bongiovanni, Matinpalo, Rees, Boucher, Halliday, Daoust, and Hamara all appeared in at least one game for the Belleville Senators last season.
