The Kitchener Rangers honoured former long-time Chief Operating Officer Steve Bienkowski prior to puck-drop at The Aud on Friday. A former OHL netminder, Bienkowski spent 28 years with the Rangers and was on hand to see a tribute video that included the likes of OHL Commissioner David Branch, former Kitchener coaches Peter DeBoer and Steve Spott among others. Bienkowski was honoured with the OHL’s Bill Long Award in August 2022.
