Kitchener, ON – The Kitchener Rangers announced today that forward Jack LaBrash, the Rangers’ second-round pick (35th overall) in the 2024 Under-18 OHL Priority Selection, has committed to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the club.
This signing marks a significant milestone for the Rangers organization, as LaBrash becomes the first-ever player drafted by the club in the U-18 OHL Priority Selection to be signed.
“Jack had a very good showing at our development camp and showed a blend of size, skill, smarts and work ethic,” said General Manager Mike McKenzie. “We feel he has all the tools to be a good player for us and look forward to seeing him in a Ranger unform. Welcome to Kitchener Jack and the LaBrash family.”
LaBrash, a towering presence at 6-foot-5 and 195 pounds, brings an exciting blend of size and skill to the Rangers’ lineup. The left shot forward from Brockville, ON played for the Upper Canada Cyclones U18 team this past season where he averaged over a point a game with nine goals and 24 assists in 29 games. He even made an appearance with the Athens Aeros of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
“I am super honoured to sign with such a great organization, and am looking forward to a great season ahead,” remarked LaBrash.
