According to Sportsnet’s Nick Alberga, Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson is open to being traded this off-season.
Gibson has five more years left on a modified no-trade clause that pays $6.4 million per season.
Gibson is coming off of a rough season with the Ducks that saw him post a 18-26-11 record with one shutout and a .904 save percentage in 56 games.
Gibson has spent his entire NHL career with the Ducks after getting drafted 39th overall in 2011, posting a 166-148-51 record with 23 shutouts over nine seasons.
It’s not clear where he’d want to play, but Toronto, Buffalo, New Jersey and Edmonton are four teams that would be looking to make a move to address goaltending depth this off-season.
