Sabres Place 6 Players On Waivers

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Buffalo Sabres have placed Josh Dunne, Mason Jobst, Brett Murray, Colton Poolman, Jack Rathbone, and Felix Sandstrom on waivers.

Dunne, 25, signed a two-year contract with the Sabres during this off-season. In 25 games with the Cleveland Monsters last season, he had two goals and five assists.

Jobst, 30, has spent each of the last two seasons with the Rochester Americans. In 64 games last season with the Amerks, he had 22 goals, 50 points, and a minus-9 rating.

Murray, 26, was selected by the Sabres with the 99th overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and has spent his entire professional career with the organization. In two games last season for Buffalo, he had zero points and two penalty minutes. He also had 17 goals and 32 points in 54 games with Rochester.

Poolman, 28, joined the Sabres this off-season after spending the last four seasons in the Calgary Flames’ system. In 66 games for their AHL affiliate, the Calgary Wranglers, he had three goals, three assists, and a plus-4 rating.

Rathbone, 25, signed a one-year deal with the Sabres this summer. In 69 games split between the Abbotsford Canucks and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last season, he had nine goals and 25 points.

Sandstrom, 27, also joined the Sabres organization this off-season. In five appearances with the Philadelphia Flyers last season, he sported a 1-2-0 record, a .823 save percentage, and a 3.87 goals-against average.
