Second round pick Carter Stevens commits to StormGuelph, ON – Guelph Storm General Manager George Burnett announced today that 2024 second-round pick Carter Stevens has signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the hockey club.
The 6’1, 170 lbs forward from Ottawa, Ontario was selected 35th overall in this year’s OHL Priority Selection.
“Carter showed significant improvement throughout the season with his hometown club, the Ottawa Valley Titans. A versatile forward, Carter has excellent size and skill. He was a leader on his team throughout the post-season and the OHL Cup,” said General Manager George Burnett. “We are excited to welcome Carter and his family to the Guelph Storm organization.”
The 2008-born forward had an excellent 2023-2024 season with the Ottawa Valley Titans U16AAA squad. The right-shot centre recorded 22 goals and 29 assists for 51 points in 31 games during the regular season and added 7 goals and 12 assists for 19 points in 11 playoff games this spring. Stevens also tallied 4 goals and 4 assists in 4 games at the 2024 OHL Cup. Stevens suited up in 2 games for the Ottawa Valley U18 AAA program where he notched a goal.
“I am incredibly excited to join the Guelph Storm organization,” said Stevens. “I am committed to working as hard as I can all summer so I am prepared for the upcoming season. I look forward to playing in front of all the amazing Guelph fans and I can’t wait to get started.”
