The St. Louis Blues player to watch for Thursday against the San Jose Sharks is forward Alexandre Texier.
Texier, who made his Blues debut in a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday, feathered a beautiful assist to Jordan Kyrou for what amounted to be the game-winning goal in the second period.
Texier has fit in with the Blues from the moment he arrived in St. Louis when the Blues acquired him from the Columbus Blue Jackets on July 28 for a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

He’s played with different skaters throughout camp and was projected to start the season in a bottom six role. However, the left-handed shot has worked his way into the top six and will play for the second straight game with Pavel Buchnevich and Jordan Kyrou, and Texier can complement each with his versatility to play either wing or move to center, if needed. Or Texier has shown the ability to move up or down the lineup.
Texier has a goal and an assist in three career games against the Sharks and will get ample opportunity on Thursday to contribute offensively against a Sharks side that can be vulnerable through the middle of the ice and defensively.
