Storm sign goaltender Zachary JovanovskiGuelph, ON – Guelph Storm General Manager George Burnett announced today that 2023 seventh-round pick Zachary Jovanovski has signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the hockey club.
The 6’2, 170 lbs goaltender from Tecumseh, Ontario was selected 134th overall in last year’s OHL Priority Selection.
 “Zach has continued to advance his game forward during the past season. We are pleased to have him join our program, improve our depth at the goaltending position and challenge for a role on our club in the future.” said General Manager George Burnett. “.”
Last season, Jovanovski recorded a stellar 1.90 goals-against average in 17 games with the Windsor Jr Spitfires U18 AAA program. The 2007-born goaltender also suited up in 4 games for the GOJHL’s Chatham Maroons where he posted a 2.90 goals-against average and 0.897 save percentage as a 16-year-old.
In his draft year, Jovanovski played in 17 games for the U16 Sun County Panthers AAA program where he recorded a 1.75 goals-against average which included an OHL Cup performance where he posted a 0.933 save percentage through two games.
“I am extremely excited about signing and being a part of such a great organization,” said Jovanovski. “Now that I am committed, the hard work does not stop. I have to keep working through the summer to be fully prepared for the upcoming season.”
