The three-time Stanley Cup champion, who won two with the Pittsburgh Penguins and one with the Vegas Golden Knights, mentioned on his Instagram account that he will be in Montreal starting Thanksgiving Monday, October 14, as part of the WPT’s Playground event.

Initially drafted by the Boston Bruins fifth overall at the 2006 Draft, Kessel went on to play 1,286 games in the NHL, scoring 413 goals and 992 points, and spent six seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Last year, he signed a PTO with the Vancouver Canucks, but after a week, the two sides parted ways. According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, Kessel is still looking for a spot on an NHL roster in October 2024.
