Regional competition sites for the DI Men’s Ice Hockey Championship have not yet been determined. Here is the plan for preliminary rounds, according to the NCAA’s health and safety plans released Jan. 11 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bids for predetermined preliminary rounds will be accepted now through Jan. 25, with the host sites to be announced the week of Feb. 8. For championships that typically have predetermined sites that have previously been announced, those sites will continue to host as long as local public health authorities determine it is safe to do so.
Regional site information will be posted here once that is available.

The DI Men’s Hockey Championship hosts a field of 16 teams competing in a single elimination tournament. Of the 16 teams, six conference champions will receive automatic qualification into the tournament with the remaining best 10 teams being selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee. A total of four teams will be seeded with each of the seeded teams being placed at one regional site *
