GLOUCESTER, MASS. – NCAA Division III women’s head coaches have recognized the top 25 hockey players in their division by selecting them as CCM Hockey/AHCA All-Americans for 2021-22. The honorees come from 14 different schools, and 22 of the 25 are from the U.S., with one each from Ontario, Austria, and Switzerland. The state of Minnesota, with four players, provided the most All-Americans.

The Soaring Eagles had three players earn All-America status as Eliza Beaudin ’22 and Jenny Heath ’22 garnered first-team accolades, while Leonie-Louise Kuehberger ’25 received second-team honors. This is the 28th time in program history that EC has boasted at least one All-American, while Heath and Beaudin become the 21st and 22nd players to earn first-team honors.

Beaudin helped guide the Purple & Gold to a New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) regular season and tournament championship while being named the NEHC Player of the Year. She also added first-team laurels after tallying 31 points and joining the 100-point club during the regular season.

Beaudin was recently named a finalist for the Laura Hurd Award and currently ranks second on the team in points (41) and assists (24) and leads the Purple & Gold with 17 goals and five game-winning goals. Her 57 career goals rank seventh all-time in program history, while her 13 game-winning goals, 18 power-play goals, and five short-handed goals also rank in the top-10 all-time for Elmira.

Heath joins Beaudin as a first-team All-American member after garnering All-NEHC First Team accolades after tallying five goals and 18 assists for a total of 23 points during the regular season for the Soaring Eagles.

Heath has set career-bests this season in goals (5), assists (23), and points (28) for Elmira while ranking third on the team in assists and leading the squad with a +43 plus/minus rating. She has helped to anchor a defensive core for the Soaring Eagles that is allowing just 0.9 goals per game and nine goals allowed on the penalty kill through 28 games.

Kuehberger has started 23 games during her rookie season for the Soaring Eagles and is 20-2-1 with a 0.94 goals-against average and .958 save percentage. She currently ranks third in DIII in goals-against average, second in save percentage and second in shutouts (9).

Kuehberger has already joined the Elmira College Top-10 records list for goaltenders as her 20 wins are third-most in a single season, while her 479 saves currently rank fifth for a single season. Currently, her winning percentage, save percentage, goals-against average, and shutouts also rank in the single-season top-10 marks for the program all-time.
