ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Soaring Eagles held their 51st annual Elmira College Athletics Awards Banquet on Monday inside Speidel Gymnasium to honor the accomplishments of the student-athletes, along with the 2023 senior class. The event was emceed by Channel 18 News Sports Director Andy Malnoske.
This year, the Soaring Eagles placed more than 20 on all-conference teams, while reaching the postseason in nine of its sports. In addition to the award winners, the Elmira College Department of Athletics officially renamed the Booster Club Player of the Year awards to the VanGorden Awards, in honor of Richard and Micelle VanGorden for the tireless work that each have contributed to the Elmira College Booster Club over the past 35-plus years. Listed below are each of the 2023 Elmira College Athletics Awards Banquet award winners.
