The Providence Bruins have signed forward Tyler Pitlick to a professional try-out, the team announced Thursday.

A product of Minneapolis, Minn., Pitlick spent time last season with the New York Rangers and the Hartford Wolf Pack. With the Rangers, he scored one goal and added three assists for four points in 34 regular season games. In Hartford, he collected seven points in 22 games.
Drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the 2010 NHL Draft, Pitlick has seen NHL time with the Oilers, Dallas Stars, Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues and the Rangers.
Over the course of 420 career NHL regular season games, Pitlick has put up 56 goals and 53 assists for 109 points.
As Pitlick gets set to try and earn a contract, he has the chance to be a solid gamble for the Bruins. Last season was the first time Pitlick spent time in the AHL since 2016 and he has proven to be a reliable depth player at the NHL level.
