No players have worn #60 for the Penguins, so we will skip ahead to #61. There isn’t too much to choose from here, as only three players have worn #61 for the Penguins. None were particularly effective, and they didn’t play a lot of games for Pittsburgh. But, there is always a “best of the bunch” in every bunch.

With that said, Luca Caputi qualifies as the best #61 in Penguins history.

Caputi was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fourth round of the 2007 NHL Draft. He made his debut during the 2008-09 season and scored a goal on his first NHL shift. Over parts of two seasons with the Penguins in 2008-09 and 2009-10, Caputi played in nine games and registered two goals and three points.

He was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2009-10 season, where he registered one goal and six points in 26 games across two seasons. He spent a few seasons in the AHL and in Sweden before beginning a coaching career with the Kingston Frontenacs, where he stayed from 2018-23.

He is currently and amateur scout for the Vancouver Canucks.
