San Jose Sharks Assign Ethan Cardwell And Danil Gushchin To AHL

The San Jose Sharks announced they have assigned forwards Danil Gushchin and Ethan Cardwell to their AHL affiliate San Jose Barracuda.

Gushchin picked up one assist in 10 games with the Sharks this season while Cardwell made his NHL debut and went pointless in three games, he also has five points in six games with the Barracuda.

The 22-year-old Gushchin has been a good offensive player in the AHL for multiple seasons, notching 54 points in 56 games last season. He has two goals and five points in 16 career NHL games.

Also 22-years-old, Cardwell scored 23 goals and added 20 assists in 71 games last season.

The Sharks activated forwards Macklin Celebrini and Ty Dellandrea off injured reserve, forcing them to option Cardwell and Gushchin to the AHL.

The Barracudas sit second in the Pacific Division and lead the league in goals, adding these two players back into the lineup should only add to their offensive ability.
