#1 Moncton (5) – #7 Acadie-Bathurst (1)
The Wildcats took down the Titan, with top draft prospect Caleb Desnoyers picking up a goal and an assist in the game. Goaltender Jacob Steinman stopped 24/25, putting the overager at a .936 save percentage over his first 15 games of the 2024-25 season. Right winger Vincent Collard, who joined Team Canada for its World Showcase roster this past off-season, also had a great game as he picked up two assists. Additionally, fresh off of signing his entry level contract with the Bruins, defenseman Loke Johansson had a multi-point night that included a goal and an assist.
Despite only stopping 28/32, Titan goaltender Joshua Fleming had a miraculous save.
#9 Saint John (1) – #14 Quebec (2)
Overage left winger Justin Cote scores both goals for the Remparts to take down the Sea Dogs for the upset. Also picking up two points is the recently acquired centerman Thomas Auger as he tallied two assists. 2025 NHL Draft eligible goaltender Louis-Antoine Denault also had a strong night, stopping 24/25 which brings his season stats to an .895 save percentage across 14 games thus far.
In spite of the loss, Charles-Edward Gravel had a good game with 26 stops over 28 shots.
#2 Drummondville (3) – #5 Rimouski (6)
The Memorial Cup hosts took down a top contender in the Drummondville Voltigeurs, with overager Jacob Mathieu scoring a hat-trick. Many of the team’s NHL affiliated had multi-point nights including Vegas prospect RW Mathieu Cataford (0+3), Anaheim Ducks prospect C Alexandre Blais (1+1) and Flyers prospect D Spencer Gill (0+2).
On the other side, Volts right winger Yoan Tasse picked up two goals.
#8 Shawinigan (3) – #18 Gatineau (1)
Shawinigan’s Felix Hamel stops 21 of 22 to pick up the win against the Gatineau Olympiques.
On the other hand, Olympiques left winger Lukas Kral picked up his first QMJHL goal in his first game since joining the league from the WHL.
#4 Chicoutimi (3) – #12 Sherbrooke (4)
2025 NHL Draft eligible defenseman Louis-Alex Tremblay picks up a point off of all four Sherbrooke Phoenix goals in their win over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
The Sags’ 2025 NHL Draft eligible centerman Nathan Lecompte picked up two goals.
