The Vegas Golden Knights have recalled Grigori Denisenko from the Henderson Silver Knights and have sent down Jonas Rondbjerg.

Rondbjerg played two games with the Golden Knights, replacing the injured Mark Stone and playing on the fourth line. The 25-year-old recorded 5:16 of ice time in his first game and 9:49 in his second game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Since the Golden Knights used a third-round selection on him in the 2017 NHL draft, he’s played 65 games, scoring three goals and 10 points.

Denisenko was a first-round pick in the 2018 NHL draft by the Florida Panthers but was picked up off of waivers by the Golden Knights. The 24-year-old played six games with the Golden Knights last year but failed to record a goal or point.

Through 10 AHL games, Denisenko has scored one goal and seven points. The Russian playmaker is a skilled forward but has struggled to replicate his production in the NHL that he’s shown in the AHL, KHL and international tournaments.

Denisenko is projected to play on the fourth line, replacing Rondbjerg and playing alongside fellow youngster and another Panthers’ draft pick Cole Schwindt and veteran Keegan Kolesar. The Golden Knights have struggled to score goals on the road this year and Denisenko’s playmaking ability could create some chances they have been lacking.
