This Canada Day presents an opportunity for reflection.
The recent discoveries of unmarked graves at Canadian residential school sites have caused the OHL community to seek truth and understanding relating to the past and present experiences of Canada’s Indigenous peoples. July 1 presents an opportunity to approach these matters in a spirit of openness and honesty as we seek to reconcile these injustices and through education, understanding and change, translate them into a brighter future for all Canadians.
