Kingston Frontenacs 5, Peterborough Petes 4 – OT

  • Overage veteran Alec Belanger scored twice, including the game-winner, as the Frontenacs erased a 4-2 deficit and beat the Petes in overtime
  • Christopher Thibodeau assisted Owen Outwater’s goal to open the scoring for Kingston and got his second helper on Belanger’s OT-winner
  • Avalanche pick Ivan Zhigalov was named third-star, stopping 39 shots – including the Save of the Night in OT – for his 15th win of the season
  • Canadiens second-round pick Owen Beck led the way offensively for the Petes: the centreman also buried a breakaway to earn the Play of the Night
  • The Kingston win ends a 10-game losing skid, giving the Fronts their first win since Feb. 10th

London Knights 2, Barrie Colts 5

  • A three-goal second period carried the Colts to a comfortable win over the Knights in Barrie
  • Ethan Cardwell set up Jacob Frasca for the game-winner 5:35 into the middle frame before adding a goal of his own just 4:39 later. The Sharks pick earned first-star honours on the night
  • Evan Vierling provided two helpers for the fifth straight game and extended his point streak to 10 games. The overage forward has 12 goals and 14 assists during that span
  • This was the seventh game this campaign where Frasca provided the winner for the Colts. He sits tied with Vierling for third in the league lead
  • NHL Draft prospect Denver Barkey scored and added an assist

Hamilton Bulldogs 4, Niagara IceDogs 3

  • OHL Performer of the Night Lawson Sherk scored twice – including the game-winner – and added an assist to carry the Bulldogs over the IceDogs in Niagara
  • Hamilton finishes the season with a 5-0-0-0 record against the IceDogs
  • Florian Xhekaj scored and added a helper in his sixth multi-point outing of the campaign
  • Tristan Malboeuf made 31 saves to earn his 12th win of the season
  • Declan Waddick, Andrew Wycisk, and Juan Copeland all scored as the IceDogs dropped their eighth consecutive contest
  • With the loss, Niagara is locked into 20th place in the OHL

Erie Otters 1, Saginaw Spirit 4

  • The Spirit got goals from four different scorers as they extended their lead over the fifth-place Firebirds to five points
  • Dean Loukus scored and added an assist in a first-star performance
  • Saginaw winger Sebastian Gervais scored the game-winning goal 6:40 into the second frame
  • With their third consecutive loss, the Otters are eliminated from playoff contention
  • Sam Alfano scored his 15th goal of the season in the loss, surpassing his career-best total of 13
