MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Steelheads are happy to receive a commitment from defenceman Will Haley. The Cobourg native was selected in the first round (13th overall) of the 2022 U18 Draft.
The 6’1”, 165 lb defenceman put up 17 points (7G, 10A) in 27 games last season with the U18 Ajax/Pickering Raiders. He started this season with the Pickering Panthers of the OJHL with two points (1G, 1A) in eight games.
Assistant GM Mike Doyle had this to say on Haley. “Will is a big, steady, left shot defenceman who moves well and defends hard. We want to welcome Will and his family to the Steelheads family and look forward to seeing him in the blue and white.”
