Just a “flesh wound,” as B’s head coach Jim Montgomery put it.
Krejci playing despite the painful injury should come as no surprise. The 36-year-old has played through ailments throughout his 16-year NHL career, and that’s a big reason he reached the 1,000 games milestone earlier in the campaign
He hasn’t missed a beat this season after his year-long break from the NHL. Through 54 games, Krejci has 13 goals and 34 assists.
