On Thursday, the Anaheim Ducks revealed the numbers of new roster players Brian Dumoulin, Robby Fabbri, Jansen Harkins, Carson Meyer, and returning sophomore defenseman Jackson LaCombe.
#6 Brian Dumoulin
The Ducks acquired Dumoulin (31) from the Seattle Kraken on July 2 in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round pick.

The left-shot defenseman will be the 12th player in Ducks franchise history to wear No. 6. Most recently, Jamie Drysdale wore it between 2022 and 2024 but could only dawn it for 18 games, having missed significant time with injuries during that stretch.
The longest a single player has worn the No. 6 sweater in Anaheim was Ben Lovejoy from 2013 to 2015, playing in a total of 150 regular season games for the Ducks and 20 playoff games.

Dumoulin has one year remaining on his contract with an AAV of $3.15 million.
#13 Robby Fabbri
On July 3, the Ducks traded goaltending prospect Gage Alexander to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Fabbri (28) and a 2025 fourth-round pick.
Fabbri will be the eighth player in franchise history to wear No. 13. The number was most recently worn by defenseman Simon Benoit in 2022-23.
The player to wear No. 13 longest in Ducks history was German Titov, playing in 137 games for the Ducks from 2000 to 2002.
Fabbri has one year remaining on his contract with an AAV of $4 million.
#2 Jackson LaCombe
After extending a qualifying offer to LaCombe (23), the Ducks signed the left-shot defenseman to a two-year contract with an AAV of $925K on July 15.
Following his rookie season in 2023-24, LaCombe was offered the opportunity to change his number from No. 60. LaCombe wore No. 2 during his last three years of his NCAA career at the University of Minnesota and will now wear it in Anaheim with the Ducks.
LaCombe will the the ninth Duck to wear No. 2. It was last worn by Luke Schenn in 2018-19, when he played eight games on the Ducks blueline. It was most often worn in Anaheim by Bobby Dollas, appearing in 305 games for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim between 1993 and 1997.
#38 Jansen Harkins
On July 2, after a quiet first day of free agency, the Anaheim Ducks signed Harkins (27) to a two-year contract with an AAV of $787,500.

Harkins will be the eighth player in franchise history to wear No. 38. It was most recently and most often worn by Derek Grant, who played 309 games with the Ducks during three separate stints throughout six seasons between 2017 and 2023.
Originally a second-round draft pick (47th overall in 2015) of the Winnipeg Jets, Harkins has played 199 career NHL games for the Jets and Pittsburgh Penguins over the last five seasons and has totaled 13 goals and 31 points.
#39 Carson Meyer
On July 3, Meyer (26) was signed by the Ducks to a one-year, two-way contract with an AAV of $775K.

Meyer was a sixth-round draft pick (179th overall in 2017) of the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he’s spent the entirety of his professional career to this point. He has played 41 NHL games over the past three seasons, where he’s managed just six points. He’s found much more success in the AHL thus far in his career, scoring 110 points in 172 games.
Meyer seems most likely to play the majority of the 2024-25 season in the AHL with the San Diego Gulls, barring injury to the Ducks’ NHL roster.
Meyer will be the 11th player in team history to wear No. 39. It was most recently worn by Ben Meyers and most often worn by Matt Beleskey, who played in 329 regular season games for the Ducks and 34 playoff games.
Will there be further jersey number changes?
Noticeably absent from the Ducks’ jersey number reveals were a pair of young defensemen who, like LaCombe, recently lost rookie eligibility; Olen Zellweger and Pavel Mintyukov.
Opinion: Ducks Unlikely to Utilize Offer Sheets this Offseason
Zellweger played in 26 games for the Ducks in 2023-24, tallying nine points. He is projected to make the opening night lineup for the Ducks in 2024-25. Outside of the NHL and most recently, he’s worn No. 3 for the San Diego Gulls, Team Canada at the 2024 IIF World Championship, the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL, and Team Canada at the 2023 World Junior Championship. He wore No. 48 during his time with the Everett Silvertips in the WHL.
Mintyukov played 63 games during his rookie season in 2023-24, scoring 28 points. Previously he wore No. 4 with the Ottawa 67’s of the OHL and before that, No. 10 with the Saginaw Spirit. Both those numbers will be unavailable to Mintyukov should he be offered the opportunity to switch numbers for the 2024-25 season and moving forward.
It will be curious to see if there are further jersey number announcements out of Anaheim in the coming months before the start of the 2024-25 season.
