Five OHL graduates are 2023 Kelly Cup champions, helping the Florida Everblades win a second straight ECHL championship with a 4-3 win over the Idaho Steelheads in Game 4 on Friday. The Everblades play out of Estero, Florida, and are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers.

Sean Josling (Sarnia Sting) scored in the win and finished as Florida’s leader in playoff scoring with 20 points (10-10–20) in 22 games. The Everblades eliminated the South Carolina Stingrays, Jacksonville Icemen and Newfoundland Growlers en route to the Finals, winning their third championship in club history (2012, 2022, 2023).

An Eastern Conference champion with the Mississauga Steelheads in 2017, Stefan LeBlanc played big minutes on the Florida blueline, finishing the playoffs with 13 points (1-12–13) over 22 games.

The Everblades finished fourth in the ECHL South Division during the regular season, playing to a record of 38-25-4-5. They are coached by Brad Ralph, who played for the Oshawa Generals from 1997-2000.
