One of the Flyers’ most notable youngsters is winger Bobby Brink. After a solid 2023-24 season with the Flyers, he will look to make an even more significant impact. He undoubtedly has the potential to.
Brink, 23, certainly showed promise last season, posting 11 goals, 23 points, and a plus-1 rating in 57 games with the Flyers. He also had seven goals and 13 points in 13 games down in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Clearly, the 2019 second-round pick is a skilled offensive player, but his goal from here is to be a more consistent threat in the NHL.
When noting this past campaign was the longest Brink spent in the NHL during his career, there is no question that he had plenty of adjusting to do last year. Now that he has more NHL experience, it would not be particularly surprising if we see an increase in offense in 2024-25.
Brink should also get plenty of opportunities to succeed with the Flyers. The expectation is that he will be the club’s third-line right winger and receive plenty of reps on the power play because of his offensive skill. It will be fun to see what kind of campaign he puts together, but a breakout year seems very possible.
