Former Columbus Blue Jackets Goalie Coach Gets A Job With The New Jersey Devils

by admin

Former Columbus goalie coach Manny Legace has a new job, and it’s in the Metro Division of course.

It was announced today that he was hired by the New Jersey Devils as the new Head Amateur Goaltending Scout and Development Coach.

Per the Devils press release, “He will work with all the goaltenders in the Devils system and serve in a scouting capacity for draft-eligible prospects.”

Legace served as the goalie coach for Columbus from 2018 to 2023. He and Brad Larsen were let go after a disastrous 2022-23 season.

Legace won 187 games in the NHL for the LA Kings, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, and Carolina Hurricanes. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in 1993.
