Former New Jersey Devils forward Chris Tierney has signed with Dinamo Minsk in the KHL, the team announced on social media on Monday.
Tierney, 30, spent the last 10 seasons in the NHL playing with the San Jose Sharks, Ottawa Senators, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens, and Devils.
In 649 games, he scored 80 goals and 168 assists for 248 games. The best part of his career came in his last season with the Sharks and his first year with the Senators.
In those two specific seasons, he scored 40 points in 82 games with the Sharks and 48 points in 81 games with the Senators. Unfortunately, he only had one more above-average season (also with the Senators) before he started to decline.
Last season, with the Devils, he had four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 52 games.
Tierney signed a one-year deal with Dinamo Minsk and will play with former NHLers Dillon Dubé and Xavier Ouellet.
