The Vegas Golden Knights will be playing their fifth pre-season game of 2024 as they take on the Colorado Avalanche.
The two teams met on Tuesday with the Golden Knights putting on a dominant display. Zach Aston-Reese scored twice and Brendan Brisson, Tanner Laczynski, Joe Fleming and Tanner Pearson added a goal each.
Akira Schmid was solid between the pipes stopping 27 of the 28 shots he faced. The Golden Knights fired 37 shots at Alexandar Georgiev who was able to turn aside just 31 of those shots.
After making almost all of their roster cuts, the Golden Knights lineup almost looks like the opening night roster. Brisson, Aston-Reese, Rondbjerg and Laczynski are all back in the lineup up front and Kaedan Korczak will be dressing in his fifth game.
