Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone once again spoke to the media and reiterated what his approach to the 2024-25 season is going to be.
Stone will be using the doubters and haters of the Golden Knights to fuel his and his team’s success. Just a couple of weeks ago Stone talked to Gary Lawless and expressed how much belief he has in the organization to win another Stanley Cup no matter what people say or think about him and the team.

“I feel like we still are building on a substantial resume we’ve had for the last couple years,” said Stone. “I still feel like we have built a very good foundation to have new players come in. Obviously, the rosters have had some turnover. It is an unfortunate part of the business. You can’t keep everybody and pay everybody. It’s difficult to see friends and teammates go. But we’re adding some new hungry players who are excited to come to Vegas to play with our team.”

Yesterday at the Golden Knights’ annual charity golf tournament, Stone took some time to talk to reporters and one of the key things he said was:
“I still like our team. Another year, another bunch of articles of writing the Golden Knights off. It should be good for us, good motivation for us.”
Stone was having one of his best statistical seasons before he suffered a lacerated spleen that kept him out until the beginning of the playoffs. Not only have people been angered by the numerous times he’s been injured and then rejoined the team before the playoffs, but he now has people doubting whether he can get himself back to that level again.
The 32-year-old will be using the doubters to fuel and motivate him but the success the Golden Knights have this season lies heavily upon Stone’s shoulders. If the injuries don’t hamper him, the Golden Knights will be among the league’s best, if not the Golden Knights will have to fight for every possible point.
