Griffins ink Michigan native L’Esperance | TheAHL.com

The Grand Rapids Griffins have signed center Joel L’Esperance to a two-year American Hockey League contract.

L’Esperance skated in 62 games with the AHL’s Texas Stars in 2021-22 and recorded 24 goals and 25 assists for a career-high 49 points.

The Brighton, Mich., native and Michigan Tech product has played 183 games in the AHL over his four pro seasons, amassing 80 goals and 56 assists for 136 points. He also represented Texas at the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic.

In 33 NHL games with Dallas, L’Esperance has recorded five goals.
