What a night for a bunch of jerks.
The Carolina Hurricanes have advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs after beating the Boston Bruins 3-2 in Game 7.
The win is Carolina’s fourth first-round series win in a row, while losing to Boston in the Eastern Conference final in 2019 and the conference semifinal the following year.
Max Domi was the star of the show, setting up Teuvo Teravainen at 18:36 before scoring a pair of goals in the middle stanza.
Jake DeBrusk scored in between Domi’s two markers, and David Pastrnak scored with 21 seconds to go, but it wasn’t enough.
The Hurricanes will meet up with the winner of Sunday’s Game 7 between New York/Pittsburgh when the second round begins next week.
