Kings goalie target Jeremy Swayman signs a $66 million deal with the Boston Bruins
The Los Angeles Kings will not be working the phones to acquire star goaltender Jeremy Swayman has reached an eight-year, $66 million deal with the Boston Bruins.
During this contract stalemate, there were reports swirling that Swayman may be looking for a trade as he and the Bruins were too far apart in negotiations.
However, those all came to an end this morning when the Bruins reached an agreement to retain his services long-term.
The Kings did acquire Darcy Kuemper from the Washington Capitals for Pierre-Luc Dubois this off-season. He has looked good in pre-season and will be the club’s projected starting goalie.

The Kings kick off their season, Thursday, Oct. 10, against the Buffalo Sabres as they return from the NHL Global Series, where they got beat in both games by the New Jersey Devils.
