The 18-7-0 Winnipeg Jets will take on the 11-12-2 St. Louis Blues from Canada Life Centre on Tuesday night.
The game will be Winnipeg’s first at home in seven, and an opportunity to kick a three-game losing streak to the ground.
St. Louis enters the Central Division matchup with a new coach and a new approach, and winners of two of its last three games.
For Winnipeg, it will be a rare home game in what has been a busy road stretch for the Jets, which return from a 2-4 trek, only to head back out on the road for two more contests on Thursday and Saturday.
It is the first game at Canada Life Centre since Winnipeg’s 6-3 win over Florida on November 19. The Jets will then play four-straight home games next week, with action taking place every second day beginning on Sunday evening.
Connor Hellebuyck, the NHL’s third star of the month of November, will be back between the pipes for the Jets, while the big news of the day is the recall of Brad Lambert.
He will suit up in his second NHL contest on Tuesday, slotting in as the team’s second line centre between a changed up forward grouping of Gabe Vilardi and Cole Perfetti.
Vlad Namestnikov has assumed 1C duties between Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor.
