by

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Metropolitan Riveters have traded center Madison Packer, the draft rights to the club’s 2nd round pick, and cash considerations to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for the draft rights to 1st round picks in the 2021 and 2022 draft. It was announced today by the league’s interim Commissioner Tyler Tumminia. As a result of this transaction, the Riveters will create a trade exception.

“We want to thank Madison for her contributions to our team competitiveness and her leadership on and office the ice,” said Riveters head coach Ivo Mocek. “Madison is a talented and hard-working athlete who represented this organization well as a player and a person. We wish her the best of luck with her opportunity in Colorado.”

Packer, 29, has appeared in 87 games for the Riveters since the 2015-16 season, amassing 85 points in this span. A native of Birmingham, MI, she played collegiate hockey at the University of Wisconsin before joining the Riveters in their inaugural season.
