That’s more like it!
After getting kicked in the pills in Game 1, it was Toronto returning the favour in Game 2 on Thursday night.
With that in in mind, I kicked off the Friday edition of Leafs Morning Take by highlighting my thoughts on the impressive 7-2 victory. The Core Four brought the heat, so did Morgan Rielly. All in all, everyone did their part, and that’s why they won the way they did.
After that, Jay Rosehill, who will be back LIVE on the show on Tuesday, graced us with his presence. Unsurprisingly, the career hatchet-man delivered another rousing instalment of 3 Hits With Rosey as he focused on truculence, Matthew Knies and Ilya Samsonov.
Meantime, powered by our friends over at Skip, Matt Larkin, Managing Editor and Senior Writer for Daily Faceoff, dropped by the show. Larks was at Game 1 and 2! We led off by discussing the hostile crowd and what that could mean for this Leafs team in the long run.
Lastly, for the Betano Wrap Up, I’m feeling a Boston bounce-back victory tonight in Sunrise.

Once again, I’ll be flying solo for Monday’s show, but lots to get to. Firstly, I’ll recap Game 3 as well as look ahead to Game 4. As per usual, Jay Rosehill will drop by for 3 Hits With Rosey. Also, Detroit Red Wings head coach and former Lightning assistant Derek Lalonde will join me.
Talk Monday at 11 AM ET!
