Celebrini sent a spinning backhand pass to the slot that deflected off a St. Louis Blues player and past Joel Hofer. The goal gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead.
On opening night, the Sharks crowd erupted into a frenzy. Once play resumed, the crowd began chanting Celebrini’s name.
Celebrini scored on his first career shot on goal. William Eklund, who got an assist on Celebrini’s goal, was the first to celebrate with the young superstar.
