Nashville Predators Recall Zachary L’Heureux from AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals

The Nashville Predators, desperately in need of a spark after going 0-5-0 to start the 2024-25 season, have recalled forward Zachary L’Heureux from the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Boston Bruins.

L’Heureux, the Predators’ first-round pick (No. 27 overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft, has five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in four games for Milwaukee this season. In his rookie AHL season with the Admirals in 2023-24, he tallied 48 points (19 goals, 29 assists) in 66 games.

This marks L’Heureux’s first-ever NHL call-up. Predators head coach Andrew Brunette confirmed Monday morning that the plan is for L’Heureux to make his NHL debut in Tuesday’s game against Boston.

“We need some guys that are going to hound pucks and be hard on pucks and win puck battles,” Brunette said following Monday’s team practice, in which L’Heureux was a full participant. “It’s kind of hurting us here a little bit early. So, hopefully he can come in and inject that with a little enthusiasm, and obviously, he’ll be excited to play.”
