Originally a first round selection of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2019, Foote was traded along with a draft pick to the Devils in February 2020 in exchange for Blake Coleman.
In parts of five professional seasons Foote has recorded 44 goals and 90 points in 138 career AHL games with the Binghamton Devils and Utica Comets. He has six goals and eight points in 23 NHL games, all with the Devils.
Foote won both the U18 Ivan Hlinka and World Junior Championship gold with Team Canada.
The former Kelowna Rockets captain possesses great size and a fantastic shot. He will play a key role on a Utica team that needs offense next season. Still young, Foote will compete for a regular role on the Devils when healthy.
